This is an optional field which may contain one column or measure of text or numerical values. Label field contains data that will be displayed as a label inside or near the data point markers.

The label position can be selected using the Label Position setting, and the label appearance can be customized in the Inside Labels or Outside Labels sections.

You can use this field if you want to display custom (even repeating) text or values in the data point labels; if this field is left blank, the labels will display values from the Categories field instead (if Use Category as Label setting is enabled).

You can use Power BI aggregation settings (Sum, Average, Min, Max, First, Last, Count, etc.) for columns added to this field.
