Outside labels display additional information about chart slices directly outside the donut chart. They help improve chart readability and make it easier to identify and compare slices, especially when multiple slices have similar sizes.
For additional customization, you can adjust the following settings:
- Label Visibility Settings - controls which label types are displayed.
- Text - customizes font family, size, style, and color
- Background - configures the background appearance of outside labels.
- Layout Settings - controls label placement, line breaks, label order, and connector appearance.
Label visibility settings are available for both Outside Labels and Inside Labels. However, the same label type cannot be enabled in both settings at the same time. Enabling a label type in one setting will automatically disable it in the other setting.
