This Power BI airline delay dashboard analyzes the causes and impact of flight delays over time. It helps users compare delays associated with late aircraft, weather, carriers, the National Airspace System (NAS), and security events.
The report was created by Chidera Igboejesi for the January 2025 FP20 Analytics ZoomCharts Challenge using the Airline Delays Dataset. Its analysis is designed to reveal recurring delay patterns and support closer investigation of flight punctuality.
The report examines airline delays from several operational perspectives. Its main areas of analysis include:
Drill Down Combo, Combo Bar, Timeline, and Map visuals provide complementary views of the airline delay data. Interactive filtering and drill-down actions make it easier to move between overall patterns, individual delay categories, time periods, and geographic areas.
Click active chart, timeline, or map elements to filter the report and focus on a particular delay cause, period, or location. Compare categories across the visuals to identify when and where different types of airline delays have the most significant impact.
