Expired license key notice (03.02.2020)
Advanced Visuals were experiencing a temporary issue with the visuals on the marketplace.
Because of it your Power BI reports might have shown an expired key notice next to the visuals, even if you had a valid license in place.
Issue appeared on February 3rd, 2020 due to Microsoft's internal processes. Solution was fixed on February 4th.
Update happened automatically and no additional action from your side is required.
However, it might take some time for a cache to clear and render the new version of visuals. If you keep seeing the notice, please follow instruction below.
Clearing the cache for Power BI
1) If you are using Power BI Services environment, clear your browser's cache. Here are instructions for the most popular browsers.
2) If you are using Power BI Desktop environment, clear the cache by following these steps:
- On your local system, browse to the following folder location: %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop. For example, \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop
- Delete the folder named CEF.
- Restart Power BI Desktop
If clearing the cache doesn't solve the problem, please check the version of visuals you are using (it should be version 1.5 or higher, for example 1.5.8). If that is not the case, you might be using visuals, that were imported to Power BI directly (not added from Marketplace).
In this case you have to replace visuals with updated versions from the Marketplace:
1) Open marketplace and add necessary visuals to the visualization pane
2) Select your chart and click on the new visual in the visualization pane. It will replace the old version with new one.
