ZoomCharts Power BI visuals, except Drill Down Map PRO, are Power BI Certified. Certified Power BI visuals meet Microsoft Power BI code requirements and testing standards.
Microsoft certification tests check that visuals do not access external services or resources. Certified visuals do not send outgoing HTTP/S or WebSocket requests from Power BI.
Drill Down Map PRO is not Power BI certified because it can optionally access external resources when users enable custom tile servers, online images for base layers, or KML/GeoJSON files for custom shape layers.

How To Identify Certified Visuals
Certified visuals can be identified in Microsoft AppSource and in Power BI by the Power BI Certified badge or check mark.
Access Permissions
ZoomCharts certified visuals do not require additional access permissions beyond the permissions already provided by Power BI.
They do not require network or system access permissions and do not operate outside the Power BI environment.
Data Handling
ZoomCharts certified visuals do not store or externally transmit report data.
The visuals can access only the data provided to them by Power BI for visualization purposes. They do not have direct access to the full semantic model, underlying data sources, or data outside the report context in which they are used.
Drill Down Map PRO
Drill Down Map PRO may access external resources only when configured by the user. This can include:
- Online tile servers
- Online images used for base layers
- KML or GeoJSON files used as custom shape layers
