ZoomCharts Power BI visuals are regularly updated with new features, improvements, and fixes.
To check the version of a visual, open the visual information screen in one of the following ways:
- Select the Info button in the upper-right corner of the visual, if it is enabled.

- Right-click the visual icon in the Visualizations pane and select About.

Automatic Updates
Power BI visuals from Microsoft AppSource are updated automatically when the report has access to the internet.
Automatic updates apply when ZoomCharts visuals were added using one of the following methods:
- From AppSource visuals in Power BI, using Get more visuals from the Visualizations pane.


- From a
.pbivizfile downloaded from Microsoft AppSource, using Import a visual from a file in the Visualizations pane. - From Organizational visuals, if an administrator added the AppSource version of the ZoomCharts visual in the Power BI admin settings.

Manual updates
A visual may need to be updated manually if it does not use the same visual identifier as the AppSource version.
Manual updates may be required in the following cases:
- A non-AppSource version of a ZoomCharts visual was imported using Import a visual from a file.
- A non-AppSource version of a ZoomCharts visual was added to Organizational visuals by an administrator.
- The report uses a test version of a ZoomCharts visual that is not publicly available in Microsoft AppSource.
- The report does not have access to the internet, for example when it is used in an offline Power BI Report Server environment.
Update A Visual Manually
To update a ZoomCharts visual manually, download the latest .pbiviz file from Microsoft AppSource.

- Open Microsoft AppSource in your browser.
- Search for the ZoomCharts visual you want to update.
- Select Install free to download the latest
.pbivizfile. - Open your report in Power BI Desktop or the Power BI service
- Select the ellipsis from the Visualizations pane.
- Select Import a visual from a file.

- Select the downloaded
.pbivizfile and import it into the report. - When the visual is successfully imported, select OK.
- The updated visual appears as a new icon in the Visualizations pane.
- Replace the old visual in your report with the updated version.
Power BI administrators can update Organizational visuals by uploading the latest .pbiviz file in the Power BI admin settings.
