Choose which base layer type is used for your map chart. Each option will reveal a different set of settings in the Base Layer Settings section that are specific to the selected base layer type.
- None: The map chart will be displayed on a blank background with no base layer. Best used in combination with Shape Layers.
- Image: Allows importing a custom image from an external URL for use as a base layer.
- Azure Map: The base layer will use Microsoft Azure Maps as the tile server. Requires an API key.
- Custom Map: Allows using a custom tile server as the base layer (OpenStreetMap, Google Maps, Carto or other tile servers that support embed via URL). Certain tile servers may require an API key.
