Enable Background Conditional Formatting to apply colors to series value label backgrounds based on data values.

Color Mode

Select how conditional background colors are applied to value labels.

• Solid H Color – apply the middle or upper background color when a value exceeds the configured threshold. Otherwise, apply the lower color.
• Stepped Color – calculate a background color based on the value's position between the configured color points.
• Color Field – use colors from the visual's Color field. If no color is defined, use the configured Background Color.

The selected Color Mode determines which source, function, and threshold settings are available.
