Author’s Description:
This report was built for FP20 Analytics Challenge 37 - Procurement Data Analytics, using a dataset of 5,200 procurement records spanning 2022–2024 across departments, suppliers, and categories.
The report is structured across two pages. Page 1 - Executive Overview provides a comprehensive summary of the organization’s spending performance. Total expenditure amounted to $979.4 million, which was $33.7 million (3.3%) below budget, resulting in savings of $104.3 million. Monthly trends and PO type breakdowns highlight spending patterns across the analyzed period.
Page 2 - Supplier, Delivery & Compliance highlights operational and compliance risks. The overall on-time delivery rate stands at 64.1%, with Maintenance, Marketing, and IT Hardware recording the weakest performance. Maverick spending is primarily concentrated in Professional Services, Marketing, and IT Software, while single-source procurement accounts for 12.5% of total spend ($122M), indicating significant supply chain risk. ESG analysis also shows that high-risk suppliers have lower average ESG scores (52) compared to low-risk suppliers (64), correlating with delivery delays averaging 4.1 days late overall.
