This field must contain a column with Date or Date/time as its Data type. 

The values must be provided in the smallest time unit used within your Date Hierarchy to successfully create a drill down hierarchy and properly aggregate data. For example, if the smallest time unit in the Date Hierarchy is ‘seconds’, then an example Date Value (X-Axis) data point must look like this: “2013-04-11 12:43:03”.
