Use Power BI Desktop to create and save reports locally as .pbix files.
- Open Power BI Desktop.
- Add data to your report by selecting Get data.
- Add visuals from the Visualizations pane.
- Save the report as a
.pbixfile. - To make the report available in the Power BI service, select File > Publish > Publish to Power BI.
