This setting will be available if you have added valid data to
the Reference Value field.
If this toggle is disabled, conditional formatting will
apply color fill and opacity settings to each shape based on how close its Value is to the minimum and maximum values among all shapes in the layer. Enable
this toggle to use the reference value to determine formatting rules of each
shape. This will be useful if you need to compare each shape (e.g. country,
region or area) against their own benchmarks, KPIs or other metrics.
Enabling this toggle will reveal Reference Value Color
and Reference Value Opacity settings which will be applied to shapes that
have matching Value and Reference Value. The further the shape’s Value
is from its Reference Value, the more its color and opacity will be
blended with Min Fill Color and Min Fill Opacity (or Max Fill Color and Max Fill Opacity if it exceeds the reference value).
