Certain settings (like Node Expansion Level, Radius and Direction) are only available if you have set the Initial Display Mode to Focus node and you have set up focus node values in their respective fields (Source / Target Focus node fields).

 

Focus nodes allow you to have a dynamic drill down experience where you can set up certain nodes to be visible by default and allow the user to interact with them to uncover additional layers.
