Important Step 1 of 4

Prepare your excel file

Sheet with your flat data should been named "Data" or placed as first in the file. Column labels should be in the first row of the Data sheet.

Leave no blank rows, remove everything that is not related to main data table.

Date

To build a timeline excel file has to have at least one column with the date format (dd/mm/yyyy or similar) values in the rows, as shown in the picture.

App will create a timeline based on the dates in the particular column. If your "Data" sheet table contains more than one column with dates, you will be able to switch between those in the application at any time using the selection menu.

Value

At least one of the columns should have numeric values to group the data.

If there will be no numeric values in any of the columns, application will group items by their appearance count. If there will be more than one numeric column, you will be able to choose, which one to use for the grouping and switch between those at any time.

Dimensions

All other columns will be converted into donut charts by sum of values.

If there will be negative values for the particular facet, a bar chart will be drawn instead of a donut chart.
