ZoomCharts Documentation
Switch to Version 2.0 (BETA)
Chart components
Network chart displays a network that contains Nodes and Links.
Both nodes and links can have their properties displayed in variety of ways, for example:
- color,
- size,
- image,
- label,
- and more.
The most common actions in network chart is expanding and collapsing nodes. When node is expanded - all directly linked nodes are added to the graph. When node is collapsed - all directly linked nodes are removed.
Network Chart uses Focus Nodes (orange) as the center of navigation. When collapsing a node, links to focus nodes are preserved. See Navigation for more info on focus nodes.
Zoom and pan
Network chart can be freely zoomed and panned. As a consequence node and link sizes and distances are not tied to screen pixels.
Chart controls
Network chart contains an unobtrusive controls bar by default at bottom-left. It is possible to change the position of toolbar items. It contains a zoom slider, rearrange nodes button, freeze nodes button, undo action button and fullscreen mode button.
Zoom slider allows to manually zoom in or out in network chart. Or switch to fit-to-screen mode.
Rearrange nodes button repositions the nodes to best emphasize the network structure.
Freeze nodes button disables the automatic repositioning and allows manual fine tuning of positions for export.
Undo action button allows to undo the last actions.
Fullscreen mode button allows to display NetChart in fullscreen or exit fullscreen mode.
